Manneken Pis Cafe

A very pleasant surprise with this beautiful restaurant right in front of our very own Manneken Pis. I’ve passed so many times in front of it, thinking it was another tourist trap. But I was astonished by the quality and the setting of this establishment. Situated on the 1st floor of their bar, it offers a great view on our little Manneken Pis and features a completely open kitchen.

The menu at the Mannenken Pis Cafe changes regularly, as they follow seasonal ingredients. All dishes are easy to share, but not an obligation. If you see the Feuilleté de Boudin Blanc with homemade curry ketchup, get it! We shared roasted cabbage with a nut salsa, aïoli and raisons. Full of flavor and herbs. The poultry thighs were slowly cooked and the meat was so soft and juicy. And the desserts! The chocolate mousse is a must and the milk ice cream with cucumbers, strawberries and meringue was amazing!

On my second visit, I went for Sunday brunch and got to sit directly on the counter of the open kitchen. An experience I highly recommend if you’re eating alone or with two people.
The set brunch menu was very creative and delicious.

Their prices are very reasonable and their dishes made with lots of love and attention. Don’t hesitate to pass by, you’ll love the laid back atmosphere and the historical building.
