Ciccio's culinary focus is on Roman-inspired dishes, particularly their signature sourdough painza. A steps away from Place Flagey, Racines is one of those places that quietly earns a loyal following. No flashy signs, no over-the-top marketing—just an honest focus on good food, good wine, and a deep respect for ingredients. This is Italian cuisine at its most authentic, prepared with a sense of place and purpose.

Feta & Oregano
Feta & Oregano is a true testament to family, heritage, and hard work. Owned by husband-and-wife duo Marsani Ayrton and Maria Moukas, both born in Brussels to Greek parents, their restaurants bring the authentic flavors of Greece to Ixelles.

Brasserie des Alexiens
Tucked away at Porte Noire, Brasserie des Alexiens is the second venture from the team behind the iconic Les Caves d’Alex. Known for its relaxed yet polished atmosphere, this brasserie has already made waves, earning second place in the Best Shrimp Croquettes Competition 2023—a true testament to its culinary finesse.

Rotisse
Rotisse celebrates one of the city's most cherished culinary staples: roasted chicken. Historically, Brusseleirs were fondly nicknamed "kiekefretters," or chicken eaters, due to their love for this comforting dish. It’s a restaurant I always make time for when visiting Ostend, not only for its warm hospitality but also for what I believe are the best shrimp croquettes in Ostend.

Beaucoup Belge
Located beside the KVS theater in Brussels, Beaucoup Belge is a cozy, contemporary spot that brings Belgian classics to life with seasonal flair. This autumn, they’re introducing a succulent pheasant dish, showcasing rich, earthy flavors with local ingredients. Let’s not forget their Toast Champignons, perfect for a pre-theater meal or a relaxed dinner, Beaucoup Belge captures the heart of Belgian cuisine in every bite.

Floyd’s
At the heart of Floyd's culinary offerings is the innovative concept of "Bistronomy to share," spearheaded by the renowned Chef Paco Martinez Benavente. The menu is a testament to creativity and seasonality, with dishes that are continually refreshed to reflect the finest ingredients available.

Les Eleveurs
I normally stick to writing about restaurants in Brussels, but Les Eleveurs is a rare exception. This spot has been close to my heart for years. Not only is it a beautiful place to unwind, but their meticulous attention to detail in both the food and service truly sets them apart. It’s a place that feels special every time I visit.

Place Sainte-Catherine has been my place to be every year for at least 12 years. It becomes like a big neighborhood party, where every one gets together and has a fun time.
