La Bottega della Pizza Sablon

What we crave on a warm summer evening is a breezy terrace and a delicious pizza. La Bottega della pizza Sablon is exactly that. Situated on Rollebeek street, a pretty pedestrian cobble stoned street, filled with artistic widow displays and a slow wave of passersby. You’ll be transported to that little side street pizzeria in Rome with red and white checkered table clothes and those addictive smells coming from the kitchen.

The star of the show here is the crust, crunchy and soft in all the right places. The toppings are just right, not too much and not too little, a perfect balance. We had the chance to try the Bresaola pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella fior di latte, roquette, bresaola, parmesan, truffle oil, walnuts and basil, 17€) and de Mortadellosa pizza (San Marzano filets, basil, fior di latte, mortadella di Bologna IGP, pecorino al tartufo, fresh black truffle '“Unicato”, 22€). Pizza prices vary from 9 to 22€.

We had a funky organic SanGiovese (italian red wine) last time we were there called b.io or bpuntoio. Chilled and served as either glass, half litre or bottle formats. A perfect partner to accompany a pizza, a little tannin and beautiful crunchy cherry flavour.

On a nice day the terrace is a delight. A perfect spot for people watching and enjoying the quiet surroundings. Lots of seating inside the restaurant and decorated in a laid back sticker friendly environment. If a table isn’t available at the moment of your arrival, it’s worth the wait. Generally a table becomes available quite quickly.

This place is recommended with hesitation and to be visited without moderation.
