Savage
Savage is a culinary experience that brings your taste buds on an adventure. The very inventive dishes are filled with preparations such as pickled and fermented vegetables, slowly cooked cod and aburi torched mackerel. This is a refined cuisine that leans towards quality, instead of quantity.
Joel Rammelsberg, chef and owner of Savage, creates menu from plant based choices. That doesn’t mean you have to restrict yourself to a vegetarian meal. You can choose a variety of fish and meat extras to accompany your meal. Although the idea is to try consuming in a more responsible and ecological way.
The interior is very appealing, sexy almost. Low and high tables are nicely arranged and upbeat music makes you wanna dance a little. The staff is extremely welcoming and the chef very approachable.
Savage is certainly a place to go to when your in the mood for a more culinary discovery. The work that goes behind the dishes is kind of mind blowing. You won’t find huge portions here, but every bite is original and full of flavors and textures.
From the restaurant you have a great view on St-Boniface church and access to the lively neighborhood that surrounds it.
Open for lunch from Wednesday to Friday and dinner is open from Tuesday to Saturday.
