Chez Jacques
Chez Jacques is back in business after its winter break, and we couldn’t be happier! This fish market institution sits just in front of Sainte-Catherine metro station, a place I visit at least once a month. Everything is delicious!
Kline
Nestled in the heart of the Dansaert neighborhood is Kline, situated on the ground floor of the high-end guest house Teddy Picker. This building underwent a complete renovation a few years ago, embracing a stunning brutalist architectural style. The restaurant seamlessly continues this brutalist concept, featuring concrete floors, walls, and clean lines.
Crush
True to its name, Crush is undoubtedly a place that you can easily fall in love with. This charming bistro at Place du Béguinage is just a street away from the fish market and Sainte-Catherine metro station. I've had the pleasure of dining here twice in the last couple of months, and their côte à l’os is truly remarkable.
Jardin des olives
On the Brussels pedestrian street Marché au Charbon sits a little gem: a tiny bistro brimming with charm and warmth, serving bistronomy cuisine in its finest form. It's well worth discovering.
The 1040
The 1040 restaurant is one of those fine dining experiences that kind of takes your breath away. Chef Jean-Philippe Watteyne and chef Gabriele Petrucci have sought out the best of the Belgian terroir to delight the taste buds.
Anju
Nestled in the heart of Saint-Gilles, a hidden culinary gem awaits – Anju. For those familiar with the culinary world, the name Sang Hoon Degeimbre needs no introduction. Renowned for his exceptional talents showcased in his Michelin-star restaurant: Air du Temps, as well as San Sablon, Vertige, and Korean Tiger, Chef Sang Hoon Degeimbre has now unveiled his latest creation: Anju.
Yi Chan
Yi Chan is an exceptional Asian restaurant, a few steps away from the Brussels Stock Exchange/Bourse/Beurs, on the popular Jules Van Praet street. The award winning bartender and owner, Yen Pham, makes exceptional cocktails. But the food is what makes me come back here every time.
Mangia Sempre
Mangia Sempre, a perfect place for an Italian aperitivo. This sweet little shop has not only great cheeses and meats to sample on their terrace but it’s also a store with delicious pasta, sauces and other Italian products to cook at home. You can wash that all down with natural wines or beers from Brasserie de la Mule and Brasserie Cantillon.
