L’Express
In my ongoing quest to discover the best affordable meals in Brussels, I'd like to introduce you to L'Express. Nestled on a charming side street just off the famous Grande Place, this restaurant is far more than your typical fast-food joint. L'Express specializes in Lebanese cuisine, serving up incredibly fresh and authentic dishes that stay true to their native roots.
Anju
Nestled in the heart of Saint-Gilles, a hidden culinary gem awaits – Anju. For those familiar with the culinary world, the name Sang Hoon Degeimbre needs no introduction. Renowned for his exceptional talents showcased in his Michelin-star restaurant: Air du Temps, as well as San Sablon, Vertige, and Korean Tiger, Chef Sang Hoon Degeimbre has now unveiled his latest creation: Anju.
Yi Chan
Yi Chan is an exceptional Asian restaurant, a few steps away from the Brussels Stock Exchange/Bourse/Beurs, on the popular Jules Van Praet street. The award winning bartender and owner, Yen Pham, makes exceptional cocktails. But the food is what makes me come back here every time.
Mangia Sempre
Mangia Sempre, a perfect place for an Italian aperitivo. This sweet little shop has not only great cheeses and meats to sample on their terrace but it’s also a store with delicious pasta, sauces and other Italian products to cook at home. You can wash that all down with natural wines or beers from Brasserie de la Mule and Brasserie Cantillon.
Albert
Brunchers rejoice! I found an incredible brunch in Brussels at Albert. Situated on the 5th floor of the Bibliothèque royale de Belgique, Mont des Arts, this rooftop restaurant has breathtaking views and a gorgeous space in an iconic building.
