Beijingya
With 18 years of experience in the restaurant business, Beijingya is a staple in the Chinese community. Just a few steps from Place Sainte-Catherine, this authentic Chinese restaurant promises to delight your taste buds without breaking the bank.
Crush
True to its name, Crush is undoubtedly a place that you can easily fall in love with. This charming bistro at Place du Béguinage is just a street away from the fish market and Sainte-Catherine metro station. I've had the pleasure of dining here twice in the last couple of months, and their côte à l’os is truly remarkable.
Al Piccolo Mondo
On Christmas Eve 2023, it was just the two of us, and I wanted to make the evening special. Having spent time compiling a list of restaurants for the holidays, I decided to follow my own recommendation this year. Al Piccolo Mondo had an outstanding menu available on December 24th, and the ambiance was perfect for celebrating this special day.
Jardin des olives
On the Brussels pedestrian street Marché au Charbon sits a little gem: a tiny bistro brimming with charm and warmth, serving bistronomy cuisine in its finest form. It's well worth discovering.
Holy Smoke
Being myself north American, I’m naturally a big fan of smokey ribs and meats. Holy Smoke won’t disappoint your BBQ cravings. With a smoker imported from Dallas USA and using only oak wood to slow cook their meats, it’s absolutely beautiful thing!
Zeitoun
The little green oasis in Brussels center has some of the best Lebanese food in town. Zeitoun is a great place for lunch on a warm summer day, their terrace is filled with plants and eclectic furniture. A perfect place for a relaxing and peaceful meal. Everything is home made and they pride themselves on their products.
Frank
Needing a little me-time before my shift on a Wednesday, I headed over to Frank restaurant for one of their famous eggs Benedicts. I wasn’t disappointed! I was stunned to see this perfect poached egg and mouth watering smoked salmon in front of me.
Toucan sur Mer
An incredible establishment for anything seafood. We had shellfish until we couldn’t shellfish no more! Of course, seafood comes at a price, but this place is incredibly fresh and the service is great!
Albert
Brunchers rejoice! I found an incredible brunch in Brussels at Albert. Situated on the 5th floor of the Bibliothèque royale de Belgique, Mont des Arts, this rooftop restaurant has breathtaking views and a gorgeous space in an iconic building.
Yummy Bowl
Yummy Bowl is a small restaurant around the corner from the well known “pita street”. Just a few streets away from Grande Place. They make delicious salads with all sorts of noodles, pasta and loaded with fresh veggies and herbs. Really worth a try and an easy option for a lunch on the go.
Chou Sando
I finally made my way to Chou Sando, in my continuous quest to find delicious vegetarian dishes. Perfectly situated around the corner from the Ancienne Belgique concert hall right in Brussels Centre. They specialise in Japanese Sando sandwiches. A milk based toasted bread with all sorts of fresh ingredients. I tried their Japanese omelette and it was really delicious!
Al Piccolo Mondo
Our dinner at Al Piccolo Mondo was like coming home to a warm hug. The smiles and greetings at the door were enough to make us feel like we were long lost friends, finally seeing each other again. Even though it was our very first visit.
